Salary: £32,473 - £37,670 – Plus ‘out of hours’ enhancement rates

Camden is seeking to recruit a highly skilled Licensing Enforcement Officer as part of the wider restructuring of the council’s Environmental Health, Business and Consumer Services department.
You’ll play a central role in supporting the ongoing management and development of the vibrant, Camden evening/night-time economy. This is an exciting opportunity to establish effective partnerships with licensed premises, business representative groups, statutory/non statutory organisations and a wide range of council partner organisations.
We’re looking to recruit an experienced enforcement professional who is committed to delivering high quality statutory/regulatory services which deliver positive outcomes on behalf of Camden’s citizens, communities and businesses.
Ideally, candidates will have some experience/knowledge of the statutory licensing framework outlined within the Licensing Act 2003. However we are also keen to hear from enforcement / regulatory service professionals who have demonstrable experience of working in a similar environment. Our focus is on identifying candidates who can demonstrate that they have the necessary skills, drive and determination to perform effectively in the role.
The successful candidate will play an important role in helping to shape the continued development and delivery of the Camden Licensing service. The post-holder will also play an important role in helping to improve overall standards of compliance as well as representing the council at licensing committee meetings, court/legal proceedings and wide range of citizen and business engagement forums.
