West Berkshire Council is looking to recruit Night Dementia Care Practitioners for Willows Edge Home which provides residential care for older and infirm people, many with a diagnosis of dementia; we aim to offer a friendly, safe and secure environment in which our residents can live their lives with dignity.
We believe our residents have choices about their care, and we promote independence as much as possible. We aim to offer social and emotional support to our residents in order to meet their individual needs.
We are looking for people who are patient, caring, and reliable, who also share our four core values Respect, Inclusion, Compassion and Empowerment. These values are central to everything we do, and are core to the delivery of our service.
We also offer the opportunity for staff to undertake the Care Certificate Level 2 and 3 Diploma (previously known as NVQ) in adult care. Specialist qualifications such as the Level 2 Certificate in Dementia plus a range of other training opportunities including the Emergency First Aid Certificate.
You are required to work a designated shift pattern and alternate weekends to cover the care home rota. We would prefer candidates with some knowledge and experience in this work, but we would be willing to train the right applicant. All applicants will complete a full induction and training.

The starting salary will be a minimum of £16,863 pro rata, per annum
A night allowance of £10 per night maybe payable.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
