West Berkshire Council is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and experienced Marketing Officer to support its new commercial programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a range of new ventures as the Council seeks to make its services more widely available and generate additional income. The Marketing Officer will help develop and deliver marketing and business development plans for our pioneering Emotional Health Academy, a new suite of health and wellbeing courses as a well as a new West Berkshire Lottery launching in 2019. This role will also be involved in assessing the potential of new business development opportunities as they arise and supporting them to launch and beyond.
To support this commercial activity we’re looking for someone with a proven track record in creating and implementing successful marketing and business development plans. The ideal candidate will have experience of market analysis and of researching, implementing and evaluating marketing plans. They will have a strong creative flair, be confident expressing their ideas, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
The Marketing Officer will work closely with teams across the Council and will also sit on Commercial Group alongside other officers involved in the new commercial programme.
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2017; the requirement to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in English applies.
