Westminster City Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join the Duty Supervision and Support Team. The service operates in a Tri-Borough capacity and covers the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster City Council.
The service is based in Hammersmith and offers support to foster carers and connected person foster carers caring for Looked After Children.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who feels confident dealing with other professionals and members of the public, has a sound knowledge base and excellent assessment and analysis skills. You will need a Social Work qualification, and knowledge and experience of working with children looked after and their families. We would like you to have some experience in Children’s services. You will also need to demonstrate a working knowledge and understanding of national legislation in relation to Fostering. We expect our team member to have excellent communication skills and ability to work well with professionals from other agencies. We are looking for someone with flexibility and enthusiasm to be part of this exciting and well established team.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and a Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure will be undertaken on the successful person before an appointment is confirmed.
