The Portsmouth Museums and Visitor Service is responsible for six museums and heritage sites across the city, one of which is the D-Day Story. The D-Day story, in partnership with the National Museum of the Royal Navy, is embarking on an exciting new project which will see the preservation and relocation to the D-Day Story, of the LCT 7074, a tank-carrying landing craft built specifically for the D-Day landings.
As part of the LCT project you will be using your experience and knowledge to create a programme of exciting outreach events and educational activities to successfully engage the local community.
You will be responsible for the project activity plan, developing and implementing creative informal learning programmes for local people and leading on the delivery of a pop-up museum community roadshow which will be taken to various venues within the area.
