Role: Portage Advisor
Contract: Permanent 25.2 hours per week

Organisation: Sefton Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Service This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated person to become part of a dedicated Early Years Team working to deliver early intervention for pre-school children with additional needs and their families. The team is part of Sefton’s Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Service.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide a tailored package of assessment, monitoring and intervention within a home visiting service for an identified caseload of pre-school children across the borough of Sefton. This will involve daily travel between our base in Ainsdale and family homes. The post requires a person who has a sound knowledge of child development, excellent communication, listening and inter-personal skills. You would need to have the ability to work as a member of a team, as well as independently, and to manage work load effectively. An awareness of the Portage model or associated Portage training would be welcome. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure check along with other employment checks.
