We are looking for a high skilled professional to manage our Employment Learning and Skills (ELS)and Signs and Manufacturing Service
This service manages and delivers a wide range of DWP, ESFA and ESF funded supportive, developmental, training and employment focused programmes. The programmes are aimed at providing an environment in which people who are long term unemployed, disabled or disadvantaged can progress towards and achieve sustainable employment. ELS delivers Apprenticeships and Community Learning financed through the Adult Education Budget.
Portsmouth Craft & Manufacturing Industry (PCMI) is dedicated to producing high quality signs, having extensive facilities at the production unit in Cosham.
You would be responsible for the management and development of the Employment, Learning and Skills Service and PCMI Signs and Manufacturing. Identify and secure new income generating opportunities through national and local networks, developing funding bids where necessary and lead on the development and commissioning of new skills programmes and services that support engagement, participation and progression into employment by young people and adults
You would need to be educated to degree level with excellent communication skills and proven business development experience, ideally in the Employment and Skills sector and have strong management skills, with experience of managing diverse teams
