Wealden manages the East Sussex Building Control Shared Service, comprising of Wealden and Rother District Councils, and Eastbourne and Hastings Borough Councils, and covers an area from the borders of East Grinstead and Tunbridge Wells in the north, across to 1066 Country and down to the south coast. We are now looking for an experienced Building Control Admin Manager to lead our Technical Support team which acts as first point of contact for builders, developers, solicitors and members of the public wanting to ensure that the homes of the future comply with Building Regulations and are safe and fit for purpose.

In addition to managing the team and dealing with the validation, administration and registration of building control applications, you will help us to look at systems and procedures with a view to streamlining processes and making the most of new technology. You will need excellent customer services skills as we compete with the private sector for business and pride ourselves on our high quality service and delivery.

We are looking for someone with a good working knowledge of Building Control procedures and the ability to manage/implement change. You will need good communication and organisational skills and excellent IT skills with the ability to lead and motivate a small team.
