Who you are… with a key eye for detail, you will be an excellent communicator able to encourage considerate parking whilst providing a high level of customer service, sometimes in difficult situations. As a uniformed officer present on street and in our car parks, you will be able to act as the face of the Council providing assistance to visitors to our beautiful market towns with their parking and tourism enquiries. Being computer literate, you will be able to apply these skills to using a handheld device on a daily basis.
What we need from you… previous experience in an enforcement role would be ideal, as you will be inspecting and identifying vehicles parked in contravention of parking regulations and issuing penalty charge notices where necessary to ensure our roads are safe for motorists to go about their daily business with minimum disruption. Walking several miles per day, outdoors in all seasons, you will be able to work flexibly to cover a shift pattern Monday – Sunday, including bank holidays.
