The Homes & Communities team is changing. Our new, three-year Departmental Plan sets out an ambitious vision and set of priorities for the service that uses our unique position in and around people’s homes to enable them to thrive and live well. To achieve our ambitions, we will need to change how we work, doing more with less at a time of intense pressure on budgets across the council and wider public sector partnership.
Using your strong organisational, analytical and influencing skills, you will work closely with the Homes & Communities Senior Leadership team and other partners to deliver our transformation agenda. You will undertake all aspects of project management and support to ensure projects and work-streams are delivered on time and within budget. This will include the delivery of staffing restructures and Outcome-Based Budgeting savings targets of c£6m.
Your work may involve designing and implementing systems and processes; diagnosing and providing solutions to performance problems; developing programmes to improve key cross-cutting outcomes; supporting services to change the way they do things; managing the development of cross cutting strategies and work-streams; and helping teams and services to make the best use of their resources.
