Who you are… a Champion for social inclusion for disabled people, you will be passionate about providing person-centred support to maximise their employment options and independence. You will be able to effectively engage organisations to develop and expand the opportunities available locally, and to challenge barriers, through proactive networking. Empathetic and able to communicate with all users of the service, businesses and partner agencies, your focus will be on ensuring the best possible outcomes for those you work with. You will positively embrace working within an enthusiastic, busy and forward thinking team that prides itself in the excellent service we provide.
What we need from you… Knowledge of the relevant legislation and government guidance is a must, as is previous experience of working with disabled people. With excellent interpersonal and networking skills, you will be a confident negotiator and communicator, with an innovative and creative approach to overcoming challenges. Organised, and with good IT skills, you will understand the importance of project planning, record keeping and demonstrating outcomes, as well as managing risk in practice.
