We are seeking a motivated, customer orientated and experienced Senior Entitlement and Assessment officer to join our Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support Scheme section.
The postholder will assist the Entitlement and Assessment Team Leader in leading, motivating, managing and developing the team and demonstrate an effective understanding of transformation, performance and change management.
The Senior Officer will be responsible for leading a small team of assessment officers and the role will involve performance management, checking of work and preparation and submission of appeals.
The successful candidate:
- Will have at least 3-years experience in a relevant Entitlement and Assessment function
- Will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead and motivate a team
- Will have excellent communication skills and be committed to providing the highest standards of customer care
- Will be able to manage their own workload and prioritise when working in a busy environment
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction Scheme administration and the use of a relevant database.
