Central Bedfordshire Council's Housing Property team require a Strategic Asset Manager to advise on the management of the Council’s Housing Asset (value: circa £1 billion, 5,500 homes, land, other buildings) to include demand-led strategies for investment (circa £10M per annum) ensuring optimal and sustainable use of the asset, as well as return from the investment and the potential for alternative use (e.g. re-development, asset disposal, etc.).
Using your experience of working in a housing asset management environment, as part of a new delivery model, you will plan, prepare and procure major works programmes to time, budget and quality, whilst taking account of all statutory guidance, and being responsive to customer demands and stock-data information. In this way, the post-holder will ensure that less money is spent per property over time, whilst the housing asset shall remain in good condition making Central Bedfordshire a great place to live and work for all.
