As a Senior Practitioner within Adult Services, you will be key to providing support to practitioners at all levels of their career development and utilising your supervisory skills and deputising for the Team Manager in helping support your team to achieve the very best outcomes for our residents.
You will have a sound knowledge of the key principles of the Care Act, the Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding as well as all other relevant legislation relating to the provision of services for adults with long term conditions. You will have a commitment to your own and your supervisee’s social work education and be ready to help develop our Social Work offer through the academy approach.
A commitment to working in an integrated manner with health colleagues is essential, as well as an understanding of the value of working with the wider multi-disciplinary team such as the police, Housing, Education and Children’s services.
We are looking for someone who can make a positive contribution to the work of Adult Services as a whole, and by offering the provision of professional supervision and management of duty systems, allocation of casework and leading on safeguarding as well managing a caseload . You will be an enthusiastic proponent of promoting every individual service users independence where ever possible, with a sound understanding of personalisation including use of Direct Payments.

You will need to be Social Work qualified and registered with HCPC with a good level of post qualification experience within statutory adult services.
