Fairplay House is the London Borough of Newham's Outdoor Education Centre, based in Wickham Bishops, Essex. The centre provides week long residential accommodation and activities for thousands of young people each year. The centre activities include: Rock Climbing, Archery, High Ropes Course, Caving Complex and Orienteering, and water based sports.

Business & Administration Manager – Outdoor Education Service

The postholder will provide Administration, Business & Financial management to the Outdoor Education Service at Fairplay House.
The postholder will also line manage administration, domestic and catering staff based at the centre.
The successful postholder will have experience of managing a large budget within a local authority or similar business.
They will have excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and databasing and numeracy sufficient to work to trial balance level, the ability to prepare budgets and to monitor expenditure.
The postholder will have good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to collect, disseminate and produce statistical information and to write clear and concise reports.
They will be organised and have the able to prioritise their own and their teams workloads, they will also be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as needed.
