HeadStart, is an adolescent innovative early mental health service in Newham. We are committed to the delivery of evidence based approaches which support 10-16 year olds with early mental health difficulties. We deliver a range of group based and 1-1 resilience building interventions across primary and secondary schools and support partners to deliver interventions in the community. Additionally we provide online counselling and provide support for the parents and teachers of these young people.

HeadStart businesss and resources manager

£35, 991 pa-   £38,994 pa

is role is responsible for managing, and refining the operational processes and systems required to ensure effective delivery of this service. The role will report to a service senior manager and will work alongside the service senior management team

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Management of complex £2million/annum budget and reporting to Big Lottery and the Local Authority
  • Designing and implementing systems to manage complex data flows in the service
  • Management of the office and service physical environment and resources
  • Management of service contracts and SLAs
  • Managing referral processes to the service
  • Management of financial and HR systems for the service.

You will have developed and implemented processes to support effective operational functioning of teams and services

You will have significant experience of managing complex budgets and financial processes in the public sector.  You will have experience of managing HR processes and of managing data flows and data management systems.

You will take a very structured approach to designing and implementing back office systems and processes and have a key eye for detail.  You will high levels of numerical and verbal literacy.  You will be a real team player who has experience of complex stakeholder management. You will be extremely committed to supporting our service to deliver improved outcomes for young people.
