Do you have what it takes to deliver change? Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives and futures of children, young people and families in Wirral? If so, bring it on!
We’re seeking qualified, experienced social workers who want to be part of something special. You will be joining us on an exciting, collaborative journey - in partnership with the wider council and key partners you’ll help build better futures for Wirral’s children, young people and families.
About the Role
We’re a service that has been through a lot this past year, but we’ve now got the foundations to grow and achieve. We need professionals who want to get on board with that and help take our organisation to the next level. You’ll be dedicated and ambitious, with the ability to adapt to new ways of working. Whilst you’ll work independently a lot of the time, you’ll also be a team player. Above all, you’ll take real pride in the work you do and the outcomes we achieve together.
As one of our Social Workers for our Permanence Team, you’ll help families across the borough. Working with a diverse caseload, you’ll use your knowledge and experience to improve the lives of children, young and people and their families – keeping them at the heart of everything you do.
You won’t do this alone. You’ll join a team of, driven professionals, dedicated to our improvement journey and providing the best for children. With a supportive senior management team, you’ll be given the guidance, equipment and help to do your very best. This includes an integrated Children’s Services management hub, which is a place of support and community for all our staff, excellent training and development opportunities and the latest technology - all you need to excel and progress in your career.
Forget what you think you know about Wirral. Working and living here you’ll discover an area of great natural beauty, with lots going on, from farmers markets to live music events. We’re close to the vibrant city of Liverpool, as well as being surrounded by beautiful blue flag beaches and stunning countryside. We’re also a great place to raise a family, with affordable houses and excellent schools.
Working with us, you’ll have access to a benefits package designed to support a healthy work life balance, including generous annual leave, pension and help with HCPC registration fees.
