Are you looking to kick-start your career in procurement? If so, we are excited to be accepting applications for the role of CIPS Graduate Trainee, within our Procurement Team. The role is available on a flexible hybrid working model – which gives the opportunity to balance working with in an office and remotely during the week based in Chelmsford.
The primary focus of the role will centre on supporting the delivery of procurement initiatives across the Council. The successful applicant will be supporting the procurement team across all service areas of the Council, from Parks and Recycling to Digital and Building Services.
The successful candidate will gain experience of the end-to-end procurement cycle, from defining businesses requirements, analysing spend and management reports, conducting market and supplier research, through to building tenders and managing suppliers & contracts across a diverse range of categories.
We are passionate about development, and we are committed to supporting the successful candidate in gaining relevant CIPS training and qualifications to help develop their understanding and working practice within Procurement.
