SO2 - £32,592 to £34,299 per annum

The Financial Systems Team is responsible for providing support, development and training to users of the Council’s financial management systems: Cedar (core modules including ePortals), PARIS (cash management system), Cognos (business intelligence tool) and Mybudget (budget monitoring & forecasting tool). There is an average base of 1800 users..
The Financial Systems Assistant will be involved in all aspects of supporting users throughout the council and will work proactively to diagnose faults and proactively solve systems and users’ issues on a daily basis, using a call logging system. You will be involved not only in the maintenance and systems administration but also development of these systems.
Requirements and qualifications
- A sound knowledge of accounting principles and a broad knowledge of financial management systems, particularly the core modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and eProcurement.
- Experience of working in an IT/Finance and service desk environment, ideally in local government.
- Good communication skills are a must in order to provide excellent customer service to internal users.
- Educated to degree level and/or have relevant work experience
