Building Control Surveyors/ Senior
Reading is a vibrant town subject to considerable development growth and that brings with it a large case load for the building control team ranging from major development taking place alongside the more routine domestic and business construction projects.
This post is an exciting opportunity at this time of significant changes in the Building Control environment and the Building Safety Act to manage the Borough’s Building Control team. The team currently comprises 3 surveyors and three technical support officers.

About you
- You will have a recognised professional qualification in building control or equivalent and have membership of RICS (full for senior level) or equivalent professional body.
- Experience of working in Building Control and over a significant period for the senior level.
- Some experience of supervising a team of staff to deliver high quality services at senior level
- Can provide evidence of meeting service targets
- Experience of successful management of building projects and complex projects at senior level.
