Principal Project Officer - Placemaking and Wellbeing
Role Responsibility:
We are seeking to appoint a cultural development professional to strengthen the role that culture plays in placemaking. Our aim is to secure cultural infrastructure and activity into community planning which will deliver long term impacts on community health and wellbeing.
We are looking for experience of the following:
- Embedding culture into the local planning framework so that communities can access cultural activity.
- Positioning and enabling cultural activity to deliver community health and wellbeing outcomes.
The role will require forming and managing strategic partnerships and connecting with grass roots organisations and communities to achieve outcomes, with a track record in external fundraising. Equally confident in engaging with planners and developers, health and social care professionals, local and central government, arts organisations and communities, the appointed person will be politically astute and able to make a persuasive case for change. We anticipate that outcomes from the work will include new policy and projects that embed culture into our communities in the long-term.
