Due to a growing number of students at our school opting to study triple Science at GCSE or a Science at A-Level, we are seeking to recruit an excellent part-time teacher to join our fabulous Science Department. The successful candidate will be confident in teaching Combined Science at KS3 and KS4 to all abilities. Being able to teach Biology or Physics at A-Level would be advantageous, but is not essential.
In return for your passion, commitment and drive, we offer a highly supportive working environment, students who are keen to learn, and outstanding continued professional development opportunities. Our science department benefits from modern accommodation, support from a fantastic team of technicians, and all science teachers have their own classrooms.
This is a very exciting time to join us. In November 2022, we joined King’s Group Academies (KGA), following an associate membership lasting nearly two years. We are really excited by the opportunities this is creating for sharing ideas and approaches across schools. At our last OFSTED inspection (November 2021), we were rated as ‘Good’ in all areas and the inspection team noted that:
“Pupils enjoy coming to their happy and inclusive school. There is a strong ethos of mutual respect, courtesy and care for others.”
“Pupils behave well in lessons and around school. They value the educational opportunities that they receive and want to succeed. Knowing their teachers have high expectations and want the very best for them encourages pupils to take pride in their work. Pupils confidently ask for help when they need it.”
We aspire to be rated ‘Outstanding’, driven by a core belief that all of our students deserve nothing but the best possible teaching and support in order to be happy, healthy and successful. We aim to deliver the best quality teaching and learning in a school where staff and students have respect for, and pride in themselves, their school and their community.
If you feel you have the necessary skills, mindset and determination to join us on our journey towards ‘outstanding,’ we would very much like to hear from you. Visits to the school prior to application are warmly welcomed.
How to Apply
King’s Academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
Employment is with King's Academies and not Bracknell Forest Council. The trust is very popular and for most posts a large number of applications are received - it is therefore not possible to notify all applicants of the outcome. Please accept that if you have not heard within two weeks of the closing date then, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful - in which case we offer our best wishes for the future.
