If you do, then a role as a Senior Support Worker at Hastings and Rother Learning Disability Day Service may be the ideal opportunity.
As a Senior Support Worker you have a dual role as part of the Management Team and will also work alongside a team of support workers to role model good practice to provide responsive support to adults with a learning disability. Helping people to pursue their chosen lifestyle and connect with their community is a key aim for our service. You will be responsible for supporting and supervising a skilled staff team and be involved in managing the day to day running of the service.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have a positive attitude towards the rights of people with learning disabilities, promoting a culture based on respect and dignity
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Are self-motivated
- Are physically able to carry out all tasks as required
- Are committed to providing excellent support, continuously learning, and reflecting
- Have an ethos of working together
- Have a keen interest in developing good leadership skills
Our day service operates between 8 am to 7.30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. This role is for 30 hrs a week, covering our operating hours on a rota basis

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
