About the role
Do you enjoy spending time with children? Then this rewarding role provides much needed support for foster carers who might otherwise struggle to continue to care for some of the most vulnerable children we work with.
This is an interesting role working on a 1-1 basis with children who are Looked After. You will need to form consistent relationships with children both individually and in a group.
You will be responsible for organising an agreed programme of work with a child/young person, you will need to encourage, support and motivate them towards agreed goals both short and long term.
We are looking for candidates who…
- Have a good understanding of developmental trauma
- Great communication skills enabling you to engage with children, young people, their carer’s and other professionals.
- Ability to stay calm in difficult situations.
- Driving licence and own car.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
