About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join our wonderful school community here at Icklesham CEP School.
The role is fixed term in the first instance but there may be an opportunity for the position to become permanent in the future.
We require a cleaner for 12.5 hours per week working 2.5 hours per day Monday to Friday during term time. There will be a requirement for the equivalent of up to 3 weeks or 37.5 hours to be worked during school holidays to ensure deep cleans can be undertaken around the school on a regular basis. Holiday hours will be agreed in advance. There is some room for negotiation regarding the hours and times worked.
Some flexibility will also be required to cover holiday opening and occasional evening events. The working hours and working pattern will therefore be agreed on appointment.
The successful candidate will be a committed, reliable, adaptable person who is friendly and can work well with staff and children. They will have the ability to undertake cleaning as per a schedule and join us in the taking care of and pride in our school.
