SENIOR NOTICE PROCESSING OFFICER (Ref: SNPO)

Salary up to £25,627.68 pa

 

In this post you will have responsibility for a small team in leading the processing of informal challenges received with regard to parking penalty charge notices. The duties will include preparing cases for adjudication and attending hearings when necessary. If you are successful with your application you will also undertake a wide range of administrative work connected with enforcement and parking queries; including inputting data, updating spread sheets and dealing with our customers face to face, by telephone and in writing.

 

To be successful in this role you will need to be adaptable, have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a small team in a challenging environment.  Good verbal and written communications skills are essential, as you are required to draft complex correspondence, reports and liaise with senior council members.  Analysis and report writing of statistical contractor data, is one of the many duties you will be required to carry out. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and best customer care practices in enforcement.

 

Applicants should have GCSE or NVQ qualifications in Maths and English with experience in a similar role and have good letter writing skills, attention to detail and a calm, professional manner.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is essential.

 

The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
