About the role
You will be working with HR colleagues and Managers to ensure that job descriptions are accurate and well designed, taking them through the evaluation process, including chairing regular job evaluation panels. Knowledge of HAY or another job evaluation methodology would be ideal but this is not essential and support and training will be given. What is necessary is that you have an understanding of equal pay legislation, good knowledge of HR processes and organisational dynamics and can evidence the ability to develop your skills to include job evaluation.
You will undertake complex research and data analysis, and be working with confidential pay data to support Service Managers and HR colleagues and you'll be involved in ad hoc reward related projects.
You will need to be able to work with excel to manipulate data, have well developed written skills and be able to present information in an appropriate format that is accessible to a wide and diverse audience.
You will have well developed communication skills and be able to work well with a range of stakeholders including Service Managers, HR colleagues and Trade Union colleagues.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
