We’re looking for a Senior Developer, who will join a creative team whose focus is to improve and increase our digital and online services, realise efficiency savings and most importantly enhance customer experience.

We never stand still, changing the way we do things by understanding the needs of our users and designing services that make it easy for them to get things done online.

We’ve got a multitude of skills, including research, user experience, process design, content, data science, and development, and are passionate about the work that we do. We aren’t afraid to challenge internal teams or processes to achieve the best result for our end users.

Benefits include: Flexible working hours, remote working opportunities, generous holiday allowance, Local Government Pension Scheme.

About the role:

We’re pushing forward with our plans to implement a CRM across the organisation to ensure that all contact is linked up and accessible to back-office teams, delivery partners, and the customer - as well as delivering operational excellence via our digital platforms, to ensure system stability and world-class levels of user satisfaction.

You’ll help us achieve this by developing and enhancing custom applications and features, helping to set software development standards and ensure they’re adhered to, defining high-quality services and service support.

Ensuring that we continue to deliver a first-class customer experience across our digital channels, you’ll help our customers complete their transactions through effective use of code, design and functionality.

You will develop and maintain support and technical documentation, including a central inventory of all developments and integrations.

You’ll ensure our platforms are run intelligently and efficiently as possible through continuous improvement, periodic code reviews and analysis of platform limits.

You will support in maintaining the overall quality and integrity of the Salesforce platform through appropriate quality assurance activities and automation testing.

You’ll work with the team to refine user requirements, translating functional requirements into technical solutions - ensuring a low level of technical debt.

Reporting to the Senior Digital and Technology Manager, you will be open to challenge, and you will welcome feedback from the wider team at regular stages - as well as offering a critical eye to others.

You’ll work in an agile way, participating in regular team catch ups to ensure that projects are on track, and where blockages occur you may be asked to help out other team members.
