Quality Assurance & Performance Officer

About the role
To assist in the to the delivery of outcomes for Corporate Audit and Risk Management (CARM) which contribute to organisational and service specific improvement by ensuring that quality is embedded throughout the stages of the audit/counter fraud & risk operational practice and processes. Including:
• working as part of the CARM service to contribute to the strategic direction of the service through the effective, efficient, and sustainable delivery of performance information to the Council and partners. Including monitoring reports to the Leadership Team and the Audit Committee on progress and delivery outcomes.
• Developing and implementing effective monitoring and review systems and processes - providing timely and informative data, reports and performance information.
• The gathering and analysis of information as part of the quality assurance framework process within CARM.
About you
As well as excellent people skills you will need a sound understanding of;
- Qualitative methods and approaches.
- Public Sector Internal Auditing Standards.
- Good analytical skills.
- IT, presentation and evidence-based reporting skills.
You will need all of these attributes to reliably inform decision making and influence service and strategy development.
