Salary: £30,151 - £34,723 per annum
37 hours per week
Fixed Term until 31st March 2025
We are recruiting to a new multi-disciplinary team to help drive up standards within supported housing providers for occupants with complex needs. The Supported Housing Improvement Programme (SHIP) will scrutinise housing benefit claims, inspect properties of exempt providers and implement a supported housing accreditation scheme across the district.
Mansfield District Council are seeking an enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated individual for the post of Engagement & Development Officer in our busy housing service.
Working within a multi-skilled team environment you will join a service whose core function is to raise standards within supported housing accommodation. You will be an integral part of a new team to inspect supported housing provision, introduce a charter status for supported housing and to assess the quality of support being delivered. This role will liaise with supported housing providers and service users to determine quality of support currently being provided.
You will have significant experience and thorough knowledge of current housing legislation as it relates to supported housing and ideally experience of exempt accommodation and an understanding of the housing benefit legislation.
