Cannock Chase Council owns over 5000 properties and the Income Management Team is responsible for collecting over £20 million rent per year.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual to join our busy Income Management Team who is adaptable, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
You will play an important role in ensuring that the team continues to perform to a high standard and helping to ensure that our tenants sustain their tenancies.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of arrears recovery with specific responsibility for arrears recovery on Council garage accounts, Sheltered Schemes and Former Tenant Arrears.
You should have previous experience in a customer focused environment and a basic understanding of Social Housing would be advantageous.
In addition you should have the ability to to do simple calculations and have sufficient understanding of finance to give simple explanations regarding direct debit calculations and rent arrears.
You need to be able to use Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook, sufficiently to be able to assist in the compilation of statistics and reports.
You will also need to hold GCSE’s in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent vocational or academic experience).
