An exciting opportunity has arisen to be the Head of Parking and Network Operations at Waltham Forest Council in London.

We are looking for a motivated and dedicated officer with a demonstrable commitment to top quality services, with relevant qualifications and/or experience

The successful candidate will lead, plan, develop and deliver an expert professional service within the Parking Services and Network Operations and support the development, management, and delivery of Council services. Manage staff responsible for service delivery / support within the service area.

The Head of Parking & Network Operations will report to the Assistant Director of Highways Parking. The role is responsible for travel safety and parking services, including the delivery of continuous safety improvements to the Boroughs highway network. You will need to provide strategic leadership, management, and monitoring for all areas of the traffic management service.

The Head of Parking & Network Operations is responsible for introducing new initiatives and keeping abreast of changes in the sector, including legislation, best practice and key adjudicators decisions and recommendations.  You will also be required to be aware of changing trends in the sector and to analyse this against LBWF requirements.

The Head of Parking & Network Operations will be responsible for delivery of projects including improving services and efficiencies with the use of advancing technologies and innovations, implementation, and improvement of LBWF controls and restrictions. You will lead, develop, organise, and control a professional service area that is seen as a centre for excellence, ensuring that the delivery of the service meets all Council, professional and legislative requirements.
