About the role

Start Date: February 2023 (negotiable)

Hours: (Mon- Fri) Term Time Only

8.30am–3.30pm: Teaching Assistant TA2 (Single Status Grade 7 £20,812 pro-rata)

12pm–12.30pm: MDSA (Single Status Grade 2 £20,258 pro-rata)

3.30-5.00: After School Club (Zero Hours Contract, Single Status Grade 4 £20,441)

Hurst Green CE School and Nursery is a happy and successful village primary school, with enthusiastic and well behaved students.  We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join our school.  This role will initially be in our Reception/Year 1 class.

We are looking for a candidate who is highly motivated, with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.  We require an individual who has experience of working and engaging with children in a calm, innovative and resourceful manner.  A good level of English and Maths is required.

The successful applicant will ideally have some prior experience. Candidates will be expected to be inspirational, flexible and good communicators.  They will also need to be computer literate. Our Teaching Assistants work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo, supporting children in groups or individually across a range of curriculum areas and dependent on the childrens’ particular needs. The successful applicant will also be expected to assist with morning break duties.

This post includes a zero hours contract, working in our popular after school club alongside experienced members of staff.

As we are a Church of England school the successful candidate will be expected to be fully supportive of the Christian ethos of the school.
