We have two vacancies, one is for a permanent post and the second is for a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role does require you to work from the office in Lewes for three days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday).

The East Sussex County Council Recruitment Team are currently looking for two new Recruitment Assistants. This is a great opportunity for an introduction to working in recruitment and HR and can provide an invaluable foundation for anyone looking to launch a career in these areas of work. A full induction and training programme will be provided so no prior knowledge or experience of recruitment is required.
We are a busy team responsible for assisting candidates and supporting hiring managers right across the Council to make more than 1000 appointments every year to a diverse variety of roles ranging from apprentices to our most senior management positions.

We are looking for candidates who:
- Are proactive and confident communicators who are able to speak to managers and candidates
- Enjoy the challenge of working at pace to meet deadlines whilst retaining a keen eye for detail
- Can manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- Can manage a large case load of appointed candidates to meet deadlines

Interviews will be help in person at County Hall in Lewes and we will provide you with a copy of the interview questions once your interview has been confirmed. Your interview will be conducted by two people and you will be given the opportunity to meet current team members so that you can ask questions about the day to day activities of the role.
The post is based at County Hall in Lewes, East Sussex, but with flexibility for regular weekly home working as part of a hybrid working model. We can also be flexible on when you work to accommodate any caring commitments you may have.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
