West Berkshire Council’s Digital Services team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to help transform customer service across the organisation and take their skills to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for facilitating change and strong information gathering and analytical skills. You’ll also need a good understanding of the benefits individual digital capabilities such as online payment or booking can provide, and how they can be incorporated into service delivery.
You’ll be learning as you go, and as part of the role you’ll complete an IS Business Analyst Level 4 apprenticeship in work time.
Working with a diverse range of teams across the organisation, you’ll be helping to gather information and data relating to how West Berkshire Council services are delivered and are viewed by our customers, as well as best practice and innovation in other organisations.
You’ll analyse and quantify current ways of working, and produce costed suggestions for improving a service, ranging from minor adjustments to a redesigned delivery model. The output of your work may take the form of presentations, contribution to business cases, or verbal discussion.
With the wider Digital Services team you’ll then help to transform customer service with the council’s Many Channels, One Service approach to create a consistently good standard to service communication and engagement across the organisation.
This is a great opportunity to work and learn for a fixed term period of 18 months, gaining a formal qualification in business analysis and helping to redesign the council’s services.
West Berkshire Council offer excellent employment benefits such as flexible working, access to a wide range of relevant training, local government pension scheme, family friendly policies, a range of local discounts and much more.
