We are currently recruiting for a Senior Housing Options officer who under the direction of the Housing Options Team Leader will provide a senior role within the Housing Solutions Team.  Leading on complex and challenging cases whilst providing a proactive customer led service to support Medway residents to achieve their housing choices.

You will be required to develop and maintain strong communications with users of the service in order to encourage user participation in service developments and improvements.

Develop and implement service strategies and plans in order to embed continuous service improvements and best practice approaches, including benchmarking, cost analysis and input into options appraisals for the service area.

Where appropriate lead on the review process for homeless applications under current legislation as well as appeals relating to the allocations policy to be compliant with statutory requirements.

Manage a caseload of complex applications relating to members of the public in need of accommodation due to them declaring homelessness or in need of homing due to their specific needs.

Participate in partnership working and policy development with relevant housing support agencies to assist those in housing need in the Medway area. Undertake other duties relevant to the post as determined by the Housing Solutions Team Leader.
