Clerk to Governing Boards (Minute taker)


Salary                         SO2 – hourly rate  


Hours                         Casual, mainly evenings

If you can demonstrate experience of (or even a strong interest in!) Education / School Governance we will train you up to be a "Clerk to School Governors"

 

Candidates should have experience of supporting formal meetings, utilising your highly developed organisation skills and excellent attention to detail. Your written and verbal communication skills and calm, welcoming demeanour will ensure that you build confident professional relationships at all levels in our vibrant organisation.

 

The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in school governance, able to keep abreast with current educational developments and legislation affecting schools. Previous administrative or clerking experience in the education sector will be a distinct advantage. The ability to remain impartial, comply with data protection legislation and maintain confidentiality is essential.

 

Meetings of governors are hosted both in school and virtually - your placement will be based upon your availability and the locality of meetings.

 

Successful candidates will be allocated a mentor upon appointment where Full training and support will be given.
