The starting salary for this position is £36,282 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

Surrey County Council provides the administrative support to the Senior Coroner in the operation of the Coroner’s Court and importantly, supporting bereaved families.
We are recruiting for a Coroner’s Officer Team Leader to manage a team of Coroner’s Officers covering the county; working with the Police, Hospital Trusts and Funeral Directors.
In this role you will be responsible for the effective management of the referrals and cases to be progressed, ensuring the team is supported and enabled to deliver a high-quality service to bereaved families.
To be considered for shortlisting to for this position your CV and personal statement should clearly evidence:
- Experience of working within a coronial service, the police, legal profession or other investigatory or regulatory profession
- Experience of managing a team
- Ability to build quality working relationships with key partners to ensure SLAs are met
- Confident and empathetic in working with partners and other key stakeholders, including the public
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide range of audiences
