Today’s prison library is more than a collection of books. It’s hub for activities, a gateway to reading, information and wellbeing. Which means today’s prison library staff need skills that are more community focused. Today’s staff are inspiring, imaginative, and come from all walks of life. Could this be you?

You will be friendly, resilient, confident, and happy to work in a prisoner-facing role in an all-male prison. You will work as part of a team, to ensure library resources and information services are available to all customers. Duties must be undertaken in compliance with current prison service rules and regulations.
