Leader of the Language & Literature Curriculum
The Head teacher and Governing Body of Alt Bridge School are seeking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to take up the post of Leader of the Languages & Literature Curriculum. This is a key strategic role which also involves a position within the Senior Leadership Team of the school. We seek to appoint a professional who is highly capable of successfully leading whole school change and development.
The curriculum leadership focus for this role is to develop the languages and literature curriculum, lead on the whole school reading strategy and coach all staff in being able to support reading and writing skills across the whole curriculum. This curriculum leadership role also includes the MFL curriculum and KS3 drama.
We are a specialist provision for students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, associated conditions and learning difficulties. We would therefore wish to appoint an individual with an interest in working with students with SEND and a commitment to helping them to achieve their best possible outcomes. This individual should also be able to demonstrate their understanding and experience of ensuring a high quality of education through their teaching practice. We value research-based approaches, interventions and developments for our students and seek to create an environment wherein students with a range of different needs can flourish.
