 £101,246

Hours Per Week : 37 hours

Status of Employment : Permanent

This position is critical to our improvement journey across Children's and Adult Social Care and Health.

The language of commissioning is changing to one that is about collaborative design and collective improvement ensuring that across community, social care and health we are better understanding need, better appreciating people’s experiences of health and care and better designing our responses to them.

We believe that a truly joined up and integrated approach to commissioning will enable us to explore more innovative ways of creating holistic approaches to meeting people’s needs.

In this post you will have strategic leadership responsibility for the design and delivery of range of commissioning strategies across children, young people and adults. As a member of the Health & Care leadership team you will work in and amongst a range of strategic partnerships supporting them to be the best they can be fundamentally improving the lives of young people and adults across our town. You will work closely with NHS South Yorkshire colleagues both across South Yorkshire and in Barnsley supporting the delivery of the Integrated Care Partnership Strategy and our Place Health & Care plan ambitions.

Taking a populations health approach we want to tackle the inequalities that exist across Barnsley so we are looking for a visionary leader ideally with experiences of ‘all age’ commissioning. Your ability to co-create and co-design new approaches to sticky problems is what makes you stand out from others.

You will have excellent professional, technical and developmental skills with personal characteristics that build community and passion.

We are keen to work with exceptional individuals who have the experience, vision and ambition to help us create an improved and sustainable future for children, families and communities across Barnsley.  If this sounds like you, we would welcome your application.
