Your New Role

We are looking for experienced Social Workers to join the Through Care Team 2. The Through Care Team work with Children and Young People Seeking Asylum and Care. The team support them through independence or reunification to their families. 

As a Social Worker within the TCT2, you will be carrying out initial assessments, welfare interviews, and age assessments and will be responsible for supporting children and young people up to the age of 25 who are seeking asylum. You will be supporting their claim to asylum, finances, education, employment and housing- overall supporting them to settle into their new lives. 
We ensure all our Social Workers are trained to deliver Trauma Informed Model of Care as well as being supported by a therapist to ensure they deliver direct support and help to young people in aid to help them overcome the trauma of their past experiences, this also includes Continuing Bonds, Tree of Life work and an innovative programme-Fast Feet Forward. Training will also be provided for carrying our Age Assessments and Motivational Interviewing. 

What you’ll need to succeed
The Through Care Team 2 are looking for passionate, dedicated and curious Social Workers who equally enjoy the challenge and the rewards which come with working with young people. 

You will have a diploma or degree in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England.
You will need to be able drive for this post and therefore will need a valid UK driving license 
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and have a working knowledge of the Children's Act 1989 and
