Job Title: Recycling Centre Operative
Location: Welwyn/Hatfield
Starting Salary: £22,910 progressing to a maximum of £23,327- £10.00 per hour progressing to £10.21 per hour.
Hours: 40 per week (over 5 days) This site will be open 7 days a week and staff will be on a rota.
Contract: Permanent , Start Date will be January 2023

Job Duties:

We are looking for Recycling Operatives to work at our NEW Recycling Centre in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, to divert as much waste as possible from landfill and other residual disposal routes.

Please note: Our shift rota will require you to work weekends and bank holidays (except Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day)

What will I be doing?
As an Operative you will be providing an outstanding level of customer service, be a team player, to ensure operations exceed the standards required.

You will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site(s) in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing.

Ideally some prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given for roles at sites that require such skills.
