SUBJECT LEADER (Computing)
MAIN/UPPER PAY SCALE + TLR2b
Priory is a very successful school, graded “Good” by OFSTED. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake. The computing area is made up of 3 staff: 3 part time teachers. The Governors wish to appoint the following:
A permanent, Subject Leader for Computing, full-time or part-time considered. The key responsibilities include:
• Leading the development of specified projects to raise attainment, enhance provision and increase participation in the Curriculum Area.
• To be accountable for the oversight of learning of all students in the Computing area.
• To support the co-ordination of the work of teaching staff and other relevant personnel within the Subject Area.
• To assist in targeting learning resources to support the diverse make-up of the student body.
• To lead the coordination of extra-curricular activities.
Candidates will be outstanding teachers of Computer Science as well as Information Technology and will have a high level of programming ability along with experience of teaching Python 3. Knowledge of other languages would be desirable. Candidates will also be able to learn and teach new productivity software across both key stages.
KS4 courses include:
• OCR Computer Science GCSE - develops understanding and application of the core concepts in Computer Science.
• OCR Cambridge National Creative iMedia - Creative iMedia equips students with the wide range of knowledge and skills needed to work in the creative digital media sector.
The salary is Teachers pay scale £28,000 to £43,685 plus £5,024 (TLR2b).
