An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced insurance professional to join the busy and friendly Insurance Team providing a customer-focused service across Richmond and Wandsworth Councils.
Reporting to the Insurance Manager and having direct line management for one Insurance Officer, you will be responsible primarily for overseeing the LB Richmond insurance programme whilst also supporting the Insurance Manager with work across Wandsworth as required.
Team work and excellent organisational skills are key to meeting our high standards of service. With a strong insurance background, preferably within a similar organisation, a sound understanding of insurance regulation and principles and how these are applied within a local government setting is essential.
This is a fast moving and dynamic team working across two councils which will suit talented and ambitious professionals seeking to take the next step in their career.
In return, we can offer you working arrangements that will enhance your work-life balance. These include (delete as appropriate) Compressed hours, home working (dependent on service need) and a generous holiday allowance of 31 days plus bank holidays.
In addition, we offer a range of staff benefits such as Performance Related Pay, membership of the Local Government contributory pension scheme, childcare vouchers, new technology scheme, interest-free loans on annual travel cards, discounts at many leisure activities, restaurants, shops and other establishments. A wide range of developmental opportunities are also offered.
