An exciting opportunity has arisen within Provider Services.

This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to assist with providing in-house transport and support to our Clients attending our Day Centre(s).

The candidate will require experience in driving a 10 to 12 seated vehicle and hold a Full Driving Licence which includes the D1 entitlement.

The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work as part of a team and also to be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision and use their own initiative within established procedures and processes to deliver a high quality transport service to our Clients with a person centred approach in line with the Care Act and Current Legislations within Adult Social Care. To promote personalisation, social stimulation and re-ablement while assisting in achieving the delivery of outcomes for service users within Adult Social Care.

The role will be to assist and respond effectively to the needs of the Client and to deliver a high quality service to Clients with a person centred approach in line with current legislation within Adult Social Care ensuring core values are met. Core values include individuality, independence, choice, dignity, respect, rights, confidentiality and fulfilment, which guarantees Clients receive a high standard of service.

To provide an environment in which six broad values of privacy, dignity, choice, fulfilment, right and independence are continuously embraced, ensuring enhanced quality of life for all.

The role will be to encourage, motivate, and support Clients while ensuring their safety and welfare whilst transporting them to and from the Day Centre.

This role will include updating and monitoring Transport Sheets, Risk Assessments, and Mileage logs. Whilst ensuring the effective and efficient use of our Transport resources.

The successful candidate may be required to provide cross cover for other Day Centre Drivers in their absence to provide a consistent Day Care service.

The successful candidates will need to have a flexible approach to working hours and be able to travel borough wide. Candidates will need to have good values and continually promote, service user choice and control, fulfilment, respect, privacy, dignity, rights and independence.

The post holders will need to be kind, compassionate, caring, flexible and committed.

The successful candidates will need to have a professional attitude at all times and have knowledge around the understanding of Dementia, Challenging behaviours and Manual Handling.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for Adults is required at enhanced plus barred list level
