This role is to support the Payroll & Pensions teams through the initial stages of procuring an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, with the view to replace our current Payroll, Finance and HR Systems. The successful applicant will maintain the payroll management system to ensure data accurately reflects staff terms and conditions of employment and staff are paid accurately and on time.


Fixed term for: 12 months 

This role is available as a secondment to internal applicants in line with our secondment policy.

About the role

Can you communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external customers? Can you prioritise tasks and work accurately under pressure and within prescribed deadlines? Do you like a challenge and are you a keen problem solver? If so, we think you might be a suitable candidate for joining our Payroll & Pensions teams as a Senior Officer.

As part of our high volume, fast paced Payroll & Pensions team you will be supporting a range of processes and play a key part in keeping operational performance at a high standard, developing efficient processes, and ensuring data is accurate and consistently maintained .

Any business process mapping or process improvement skills or knowledge would be an advantage and if you have transferable skills from your current or previous roles we'd love to hear from you. 

The role is based within a dynamic team and will require attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude. Excellent communication skills are a must. You’ll be supported by friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced colleagues to be a success in the role. We’ll offer you on the job training to get you up to speed on existing systems, processes and procedures.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
