Financial Assessment and Benefit (FAB) Officers are within the Finance Department, providing a front line service to the clients of Adult Social Care.
The purpose of this role is to visit all Adult Social Care clients and their carers/representatives to assess how much, if anything, they need to contribute towards the cost of services provided. You will need to collect sensitive financial information, relevant to the financial assessment process and provide high quality welfare rights and benefits advice within the clients home.
You will assist clients in the completion of the financial assessment and ensure that clients and their Carers receive all the benefits to which they are entitled to maximising both the client’s and the Adult Social Care Department’s income.
