Full Time. Salary: £19,819 - £21,693 pa
Hertfordshire County Council are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join its Countryside Works Team.
The post holder will be involved with the management of the County Council’s woodland and recreation sites which are situated across the whole of Hertfordshire. The role will include topping, strimming, hedge cutting, tree felling, tree planting, tree inspections, spraying and public interaction.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of environmental, ecological, conservation and public access issues and sensitivities. Experience in the operation of a wide range of countryside / forestry plant and machinery is required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of forestry work and will hold an NPTC CS30 and CS31 chainsaw certificate and ideally a NPTC PA1 and PA6 Pesticide Certificate or similar. A full driving licence is essential.
