Could you make a difference working in the community by visiting people in their homes to improve safety from fire as well as improving wellbeing and health outcomes? Then this role could be for you.
The role will focus on the delivery of the Child Safety Equipment and Advice commissioned service which aims to support families in reducing preventable home accidents through education and provision of home safety equipment. Tasks will include receiving referrals, booking and undertaking visits in company with the contracted equipment installer, completing the monthly performance reports and meeting with Commissioners. The role holder will be responsible for developing interventions to protect children from accidental injury in the home through project development, implementation and working with relevant partners to reduce risks.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of dangers and consequences child safety and accidental injury and other safety; and health related matters. In addition to understand the dangers and consequences of fire, and other safety matters in the home.
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, applicants will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to provide a high standard of client-focused service. Applicants must hold a current UK driving licence and have some knowledge or experience of working with vulnerable groups, whilst being able to demonstrate tact, patience and courtesy.
